Hi there, My name is Kathleen Domingue and I run a small support service called BRIGHTLIGHT SUPPORT SERVICES with a team of amazing support workers. We have been in the field for over 10 years and we strive to provide the best quality of care to people we support. About me: Quick sum up of my experience in the field,I graduated from La Trobe university in 2010 with a bachelor degree in human services and also had the opportunity to do a lot of social work units. Once graduated, I started my career as DSW and also worked as a youth worker and a community worker for a refugee program. Also worked as support coordinator and case worker for both disability and youth services. I have a great passion in providing direct support to individuals and my team thrives at doing the same. We worked with an active support and holistic approach. I am a very active person, hence me supporting clients on numerous activities or even sports. I am also an artist and therefore provide that service too. Cooking/ Grocery Shopping is something that I enjoy doing with clients as well. At this stage, We can support self-managed and plan-managed clients. We are non-registered provider service and are very flexible in terms of length of shifts We can do; short shifts are not a worry and remember we can all areas of Melbourne. Attendant Care

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

To learn more visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
