The team at BMedical are responsive and so very knowledgeable about secretion clearance and more. In 2019, when I decided to purchase a Pegaso cough-assist/IPV hybrid, as a new tool in our kitbag to combat my latest chest infection, we were informed by a wealth of medical and visual evidence by Ben Greenaway - Director and Product Specialist, with decades of experience. I have Duchenne muscular dystrophy and I’ve used a sip mouthpiece ventilator 24/7 for 10yrs. Despite many cycles of regular cough assist therapy each day, I’d finished my second course of antibiotics without shaking the infection. Months earlier, in June of 2019, my mother had attended the “RESPIRATORY ADVANCES IN NEUROMUSCULAR DISORDERS 2019 – A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE”: a two-day educational event for physiotherapists at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, which was sponsored by BMedical. The headliner was the world’s leading respiratory clinician, Michel Toussaint, who discussed and demonstrated the impressive secretion clearance equipment, supplied by BMedical, during the presentations and breaks.

The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and an improved quality of life.

To be eligible for the NDIS, individuals must be under the age of 65, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, and have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to participate in everyday activities.

To learn more visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

Your NDIS plan revolves around your personal life goals and aspirations. It is crafted based on the information you share during your planning session with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC). Within your plan, you will find a breakdown of the various supports required to help you reach your goals, along with the specific funding allocated to each support category.

Your NDIS plan is tailored to your needs and is reviewed regularly to ensure it continues to meet your changing circumstances and goals.

The NDIS can be difficult to navigate, it's important that you prepare and seek out assistance during your application process.

For more details, see our step by step guide by visting https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/how-apply.

The NDIS requires service providers to register with them to allow for direct invoicing claims for NDIA-managed clients. However, not all providers opt for registration, meaning there could be a suitable unregistered provider out there that can offer you supports. Access to these unregistered providers is only available if you self-manage your funds or have a Plan Manager.
