Bio: Laura Faulds is a Registered Social Worker and General Manager of Amity Care Services, a large disability provider on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. With over 20 years of experience across disability, mental health, and community services in both Australia and the United Kingdom, Laura brings a wealth of frontline, leadership, and organisational expertise to her role.
Having built her career from direct support work through to senior management, Laura has a deep, grounded understanding of what person-centred, high-quality practice looks like at every level. As General Manager, she leads a large multi-disciplinary team spanning clinical services, support coordination, psychosocial recovery coaching, and operations - holding responsibility for the strategic direction, governance, and service quality of the organisation.
Laura's leadership is guided by a strong social work identity and a commitment to trauma-informed, values-driven practice. She is a passionate advocate for the rights of people with disability, systemic reform, and the empowerment of individuals to live with dignity, independence, and genuine choice.
Laura is honoured to serve on the jury and looks forward to celebrating the individuals and organisations making a real difference in the disability sector.
